The Lockdown Adventures of Room 11
Room 11 have started capturing the stories of their favourite teddys or toys and the adventures that they have been on as the have been in lockdown. Most of these teddys have not been following our rules...
Check out the letter that Emily's bunny left her telling her about the lockdown adventure it is going! Check out the message left by Jack's parrot as it escaped through the window! Oh no! I wonder what adventures he will get up to.
Brayden has started his story with a letter from his lego friend Elmo!
Katherine and her brother Max have worked together to tell the story of their run away toys.
Wow! James' Ted really doesn't sound happy with him and he's leaving!
Skylah's Unicorn seems very keen to start her adventure!
Alexis is sharing the adventures of the escaping Elephant!
Giant Ted has already left... I wonder what Mahathi's Ted is going to get up to on his adventures.
We had some other awesome work sent through too... check out this great work!
Chase did an amazing character profile on Garfield! Emily did a great job finding adjectives
I'm so impressed by how hard Chase has been working. He has shared his writing and number line maths work with us!

What amazing work Room 11!
Today we had our second Google Meets class online. I was so excited to see so many people attending the class and to have such great discussions with everyone.
I have challenged our Year 4 students to share their work to their blogs- which can be found down the left hand side of our blog.
Here is some of the amazing work I received today.
Skylah- Rose made an awesome piece of artwork using sticks and flowers round around her garden!
Mahathi shared on our Google Meets that she loved using her maths strategy learning to solve equations at home!
Feeding my pet dragon writing...
Today we looked closely at how we could write a narrative using a story planner. We got told that our narrative needed to include a beginning, middle and end, as well as a problem and a solution. Check out our awesome writing below.
Brayden's writing! WOW!
Great writing Mahathi!
Other Great Activities
Tawhaiora did research on service dogs!
Check out the Photo Scavenger Hunt that Skylah-Rose and her Mum have made today- click here
Alexis worked with her family to create a timeline of her life!

Great start to Lockdown 2.0
This morning we had our first Google Meets session. It was great to see everyone excited to start their online learning. Here is some of the outstanding work that we have been doing in Room 11 today.
Great writing by James about his dream school. Who else would love to go to this school?
Great narrative writing Alexis about the furry green monster you saw riding past your house.
Mahathi has been using her place value strategy to solve some equations that I gave her this morning. We have been looking at this strategy in our clinics. Well done Mahathi for practicing in your own time.
