Online Work

Miss Johnson has brought some online stamps to mark the online work that is being sent to her during lockdown. She is very impressed with the work she is seeing. Check out the work you have shared with her and see which stamp you received today!

We have loads more stamps so keep up the great work and see which one you get next!

Lockdown

We are back in Lockdown again and working together online to continue learning. Yesterday we had our first online Google Meet session. It was great to see everyone and especially nice to see everyone happy and smiling.

Yesterday some of us started keeping Lockdown Journals to share out experiences in lockdown and to continue writing everyday. Some people even included photos of their day. Here are some of the photos from Room 11 about what they got up to on the first few days of lockdown.

Check them out!

Aiden P created a military boat out of Lego with his Dad. Aiden also told us that his Dad was telling Dad jokes- we can't wait to hear some of these.

Skylah-Rose and her family created an obstacle course at home. What a great way to keep active, while having fun at home with your Lockdown Bubble.

Buy Schleich : Rabbit Hutch at Mighty Ape NZ

Mila learnt all about the Periodic Table with her family at home. Then she played with her new Schleich bunny set that she got just before lockdown started.

Arielle and her brother spent time organising and cleaning their playroom. Sorry the only pictures we could get were sideways!

Miss Johnson feels very lucky to have a swing and slide set at her house so her son gets to play outside. She has enjoyed reading all of our posts and see all of our work! She is very proud of how well we are working but also how responsible we are being about attending our online classes.

What have you been doing during Lockdown?

Harold

We had a very busy Monday this week. We got to spend time in the Life Education Classroom where we meet Harold and Britney. Harold asked us to do an important job for him. We had to sort and put away his groceries according to their food group.

The groups were

- Fruit and Vegetables

- Grains Products

- Milk and Milk-like Products

- Proteins

- Sometimes Food

I wonder if you could think of some food that would belong in each of these groups and add them in the comments below?

Soccer Taster

On Monday we got to have a go at learning new soccer skills and playing a game in the inflatable soccer field. We learnt some of the rules in soccer. We learnt to dribble the ball and how to work cooperatively in a team. We had great fun and it was awesome to see everyone giving it their best. Well done Room 11.

I wonder if you know what it means to dribble the ball?

All about the human body

Room 11 started their first lesson of our syndicate rotation on Tuesday. We are looking at our school topic of Balance. Miss Johnson showed them all about the organs in the human body and what their job was in keeping us healthy.

We looked at the lungs in a lot of detail and students used balloons and straws to make a model of our lung so we can use them to help us explain how the lungs work.

I wonder how much you know about the human body?

How do our lungs help us?

What can we do to help our lungs be strong and healthy?
